2) Who can attend the Annual Scientific Meeting?

Attendance is open to all!

The AGS Annual Scientific Meeting is the premier educational event in geriatrics, providing the latest information on clinical care, research on aging, and innovative models of care delivery. The 2023 Annual Meeting will address the educational needs of geriatrics professionals from all disciplines. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers, long-term care and managed care providers, health care administrators, and others can update their knowledge and skills through state-of-the-art educational sessions and research presentations.

The 2023 Annual Meeting offers many continuing education sessions, including invited symposia, workshops, and meet-the-expert sessions. Sessions will include information about emerging clinical issues, current research in geriatrics, education, health policy, and delivery of geriatric health care.

Meeting attendees will have many wonderful opportunities to network and exchange ideas and information with colleagues. Special Interest Group Meetings and Section Meetings for Fellows-in-Training, Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, and Teachers are all great opportunities to interact with colleagues.

The 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting is being held at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, Long Beach, CA.

4) How do I register for the Annual Scientific Meeting?

You must register using this online registration form.

A confirmation letter will be sent automatically by email, once you complete the online registration process.

AGS will not be able to accept payment by check or fax. All registrations must be completed online with a credit card.

8) How do I become a member of AGS or renew my membership?

When registering for the Annual Meeting:

Renewing Members: If your membership expires prior to 5/31/2023, select the "Registering as a Renewing AGS Member" option. You'll be prompted to select membership dues type on the following page.
New Members: If you are not a current or an expired/expiring AGS member you may select the "Join AGS as You Register", you will be prompted to select your membership dues type, as well as your registration category. With this option, the registration and membership fees will be itemized on your receipt.

10) What are the cancellation/refund policies for the Annual Scientific Meeting?

Cancellation of registrations must be received in writing no later than Friday, April 28, 2023. No refunds will be issued after Friday, April 28 for cancellations or no-shows. Substitutions are permitted if requested in writing. Please send cancellation or substitution requests by email to AGS@showcare.com or by fax to 1-514-289-9844. Refunds will be issued no sooner than 45 days following the meeting and are subject to the following processing fees:

On or before February 28, 2023: $50 processing fee
March 1 - April 28, 2023: $250 processing fee
After April 28, 2023: No refunds will be issued

FLEXIBLE REGISTRATION – SEAMLESSLY SWITCH FROM IN-PERSON TO ON-DEMAND
If you select the in-person option, you have the flexibility to switch your registration to the On-Demand option at any time leading up to the annual meeting.
